  • Posting guidelines for 260sepilots.org forums

We welcome posts on aviation-related topics or even off-topic in the forum designated for this. Posts of a commercial nature should be placed in the Marketplace forum.

We encourage lively discussion and debate but require civil behavior.

It is considered polite to disclose a potential conflict of interest. For example, if a post is made extolling the virtues of a particular aircraft or product and the poster happens to be in the business of selling that product, a disclaimer to that effect would be the proper and respectful thing to provide. This could be handled directly in the text of a post or as part of one's "signature" that appears as a footer in every post. Of course, we all know that Todd & Jo sell 260se's so this would be a stupid thing to require of them!

The administrator (Me!) reserves the right to promptly delete posts--and their authors--that he deems objectionable or completely irrelevant. This will occur at my sole discretion--this is not a democracy! For example, there have been a couple of recent posts here, one trying to sell iPOD miscellany and the other hyping a stock, likely in an attempt to get others to run up the price. There has also been a recent post providing links to porn-related sites. Such posts are not welcome here!! They detract from the conversations. I have deleted those posts and the "members" who authored them. Moreover I suspect that this forum's membership is unlikely to provide a profitable market demographic for such "offerings." Please take your business and your spam pollution elsewhere. Have a nice day.

    Spammers please don't bother

For the past several weeks I have had to remove spam posts at the rate of one every other day or so. These ranged from the merely irrelevant to the patently offensive (porn).

Please, if your post is commercial in nature and not related to aviation and aviation products, don't waste your time putting it on this site--it will be removed within hours and your membership will be deleted and/or banned.

    Have a nice day.

I get those by the thousands, and they are usually the Nigerians trying to scam money out of old ladies and seniors....
